Do you realise that you are surrounded by your BS?  Have you ever considered that?

Your BS - your belief system - is literally what is around you in all aspects of your life.  If your BS is that you struggle with money, you will be struggling with money.  If you believe you are not worthy of a fit healthy body, you will be unfit and unhealthy.

It’s hard to really come to terms with that fact because, if you’re anything like me, you’re thinking;

“Well, I didn’t really want this life.  I wanted to be successful.  I wanted to be happy.  I wanted to have all the great things in life, instead of having all this bad stuff happening to me.  I just don’t understand it.”

Well, the tough truth is that it all comes down to us.

It’s how your belief system is, what your subconscious thinks you are worthy of, and how you perceive yourself.  All these beliefs in your subconscious come from your early days, or at least most of them do.

Most of them come from the first few years of your life because when you’re very young, you are very impressionable.  You have to learn from your parents and society, and learn from school.

At that young age, you can’t expect to know everything.  You have to absorb all you can from what’s around you and you automatically take that on as your belief system.  Unfortunately, a lot of that contains so much negativity.

For instance, your parents are brought up by their parents, who were brought up by their parents, and they probably had negative belief systems from poverty or perhaps wartime.  All this negativity trickled down to you.

I’m sure you heard sayings like “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” or, “Well, we can’t afford that.”  Or, “Don’t do that because you’ll get in trouble.”  All this negativity you were taught.

I’ve even found myself saying such things to my kids.  Not on purpose, but because it is my automatic response.  It is the belief system I was brought up with.  It’s what comes out of my mouth without even thinking.

We are all surrounded by our belief systems, and you have to understand that and be prepared to make a change.

Be aware that you must not take on the pity mindset.  You must not hold the victim mentality where you say that it’s somebody else’s fault, or say that it happened because of so and so.

Do not make excuses.

Once you accept that it’s your belief system that’s bringing the situation into your life, you can then make a change.

You can choose to say, “Okay, I don’t want that anymore. I’m going to change it.”  And that is the start of changing your belief system and changing your life.

Of course, this is not easy because it goes against what you believe, right? Not only do you believe it, but many things throughout your life up to this point have happened and reinforced it.

For instance, if you have a belief that people don’t like you, every time somebody says something that's not to your liking, or they don’t react the way you hoped they would, you think, “Yeah, it’s because they don’t like me.”

When in reality, it could be that they’re just having a bad day, or they’ve got something on their mind, or they’ve got somewhere to rush off to.

Along life’s journey, it’s very easy to reinforce these negative beliefs which aren’t serving you, even if they’re completely untrue.

You have to change it.  But how do you change your beliefs?

The first step is to observe the thought in your head -  "Um, that's interesting, I wonder why I'm thinking that or reacting that way."  Don't make yourself bad for thinking it or analyse it, just observe.

Then, simply replace the negative belief with a positive belief.  This will allow you to reprogram your subconscious.

The older you are, the more engrained these negative beliefs are.  But you can change them.  It will make a huge difference to your life as you start to take on more positive beliefs.

You’ll start to believe that life is good, and when you understand that you chose to come to this planet to be happy, and you certainly have the capability of being successful, you can start making that happen.

You can do this by simply repeating affirmations which allow you to reprogram your subconscious.

If you have a recurring negative belief about money or self-belief, just repeat positive affirmations that are really true to you and are what you want to become.

The best times to repeat these affirmations are either when you first wake up, or just before you go to sleep when you’re relaxed, or when you’re meditating and you’re in a relaxed state.

When you’re in this relaxed state, your subconscious is much more open to receiving these kinds of positive messages.

By repeating them again and again and again, it forces the positive message into your subconscious mind, and you will even find that it goes into your subconscious without you realising it, laying the foundations for your better life.

So take note of your belief system. Once you understand that you’re surrounded by what you believe and once you accept that, then it’s time to create change in your life.

That’s your next step.  Changing your life by repeating the right affirmations at the right time when you are fully relaxed and your subconscious mind is open and receptive.

Go change your life!

Empowering you to create your best life,

Scott
